I am Riley Cantrell. This portfolio is to demonstrate the work I’ve accomplished during “Intro to Writing Arts”, Fall 2019. During Module 3, we explored interface literacy and genre awareness, and how they related to various web genres like GIFs and memes. The purpose of this was to see how the concept of genre has evolved overtime, how being aware of genre helps us improve ourselves as writers, and how interface literacy affects our ability to successfully create digital content.
For the first blog, I discussed the idea of constantly being plugged in and what the pros and cons of that are.
For the second blog, I discussed genres and how it relates to the genre of memes.
For the third blog, I discussed more about genres, but how they relate specifically to GIFs.
For the fourth blog, I continued discussing genres, but also delved into the social purpose of memes.
My portfolio includes my discussions of genre awareness and interface literacy.
